1oth birth!

  Day shift began semi-slow.  Roselind came in looking active.  I took all her vitals & everything was WNL.  I only had time to take vitals & an initial labor history, before she was ready to push!  33 minutes after coming in & 3 hours 3 minutes after labor began….talk about fast!! 

She did great with breathing through contractions.  Once baby began to come, she came quickly.  Placenta was born 5 minutes later with CCT.  Christina Waterly had an A/S of 8 & 10. 

Immediate postpartum went well with only 200 EBL.  Roselind recovered rapidly from birth & within 1 hour was sitting up eating brunch, consisting of rice & meat/broth. 

She moved over to the p.p. room soon after birth & her mom left, leaving her with no bantay.  Her bana was in another city, & was in the middle of travelling to Davao during her labor/p.p., so I didn’t meet him until the next day.

As soon as the 6 hours were up & Christina was bathed, Roselind asked to go.  After talking about it & finding out that she wouldn’t have anybody coming to visit her, we had Kuya Felix call a taxi & I helped her carry her bags out to the hallway, where she waited for the taxi. 

She has faithfully come back to all of her p.p. checks.  Everything is really going well, except that Christina lost some weight between the 3rd & 7th day check-up.  So, she will be coming in next week, so we can weigh her & make sure that she isn’t losing more weight.
