Mary Luz Jame, was a G1P0, 22 year old who came in Sunday morning. She was in active labor, & on examination, she was fully dilated. Progress was slow for awhile, so we had her change positions often. About an hour after arriving at Mercy, she gave birth to a girl! Katrina’s APGAR score was 5/8. She wasn’t breathing, didn’t have good muscle tone, & didn’t have good color, but by the 5 minute APGAR, she was breathing, had better color & muscle tone. Praise the Lord! It is scary to see a baby that looks lifeless & great was our joy, when she began to breathe!
Update: Mary came in for her 1st baby check-up & both mom & baby are doing really well.
So far, I have caught 5 babies & assisted with 21 births!
wow you have assisted alot,

Hehe! Makes me think of your graduation slideshow I did for you and how at the time you had only been at 1 or 2 births - let alone any assisting or catching!! You've come a long way since then, huh? Keep up the good work Jordan!! And keep learning lots!
